Evan & Liz’s Small Keuka Lake Ceremony
Liz and Evan had a very simple wedding ceremony at the end of their family a dock with only their immediate family present. The ceremony took place at Evan’s Grandparent’s Keuka Lake house on a Thursday morning. It was a very quiet and intimate wedding ceremony with just the right balance of emotion, love and laughter.
The morning clouds loomed overhead and as the sun rose in the sky, we all met Evan down on the dock for the touching ceremony officiated by their good friend, Garrett.
Evan’s brother read a funny poem about love that used a dog’s love as a metaphor. The flowers on the dock were taken apart by the families and placed in an infinity symbol around the Bride and Groom’s feet to join them together.
After exchanging their wedding vows and Celtic knot rings, we photographed all of the formal portraits and called it a day. I’m sure there was swimming and boats and fun in the afternoon…
This was a perfect morning for their small Keuka Lake ceremony. It was an honor to be one of the few people present to witness the beginning of this marriage between Evan & Liz! Check back in a few days for the wedding photos of their apple orchard wedding reception too…
It would be so lovely if all weddings were this beautiful and serene.
I love photographing small weddings, and especially lakeside weddings like this Keuka Lake ceremony.
My hands on approach to planning weddings with my couples makes the process smooth and easy for them as they plan alternative or offbeat wedding events.
