Another fun wedding in 2009! The wedding day began at the gorgeous Chapel Hill Church just as it began to rain. By the time we were finished, the sun was out! Ginny and Marco were so awesome and fun! We had plenty of time for pictures, so we went to 7-11 (their wedding day was July 11th, see!) and High Falls for bridal party photos. Their wedding reception was held at the wonderful Airport Marriott hotel.
I took the Bridal Party to the High Falls area for FUN Formals! The images were so fun that the Bridesmaids were envious that the Groomsmen were running and jumping. Hilarious. Even more hilarious was that I didn’t even ask the Groomsmen to jump. I did, however, ask them to run. Ah, cardio on a wedding day. No one saw that coming.
After we took advantage of all the cool nooks and crannys that High Falls has to offer, I took the Bridal Party to 7-11 for slurpees. Yay for wedding day puns!
We still had plenty of time to head on over to the cocktail hour and the reception at the Marriott. It was actually nice to not be rushed for once and it was also a complete pleasure to have Danielle Zielinski as my Second Photographer for the day. She did an amazing job and even ran into one of her past Bride and Grooms at the reception!
Everyone had a blast and the band was rockin’! Well, not only the band, but also Ginny’s Dad who got up and played bass during the evening. That was a hit for sure and he seemed to be digging the spotlight for sure.
Another fun thing for me at this wedding was that somehow I kept walking by people and overhearing them talking about my marketing pieces. That was awesome, since I never get to hear what guests think. First, was the Guestbook that Ginny, Marco and I made out of their Engagement Session. The guests LOVED that idea! Next, were the little Event Cards that I had made to advertise the images being online. These are business card size, on fun paper, with an image of the couple on the front and the detials for finding the gallery on the back. I was actually taking a picture of Ginny ordering a drink at the bar when someone came up to her to say how cool he thought those were. Yay! The last thing I would want would be to come off as intrusive, so I was happy to hear such a glowing compliment.
Anyway, right after that, I was checking in with Marco and Ginny to see if they needed anything from me and Danielle caught a great photo of Marco making me absolutely crack up! He made me laugh all day long, which is one of the many reasons I had so much fun on Saturday. Congratulations, Ginny & Marco!
