Megan and Matt’s Buffalo wedding was the most epic way to end my wedding season and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple or a better planned event.
When they called me about their wedding plans, everything they told me had me saying “yes, please!”.
Megan walked into a bar…
and that’s where she met Matt.
This same bar made for the perfect place to meet on the wedding day for the couple’s First Look and to take all of the formal family pictures.
OK, we gotta pause here for a moment and do something I NEVER EVER DO on this blog…
Stunning Vintage Bridal Look
We have to talk about Megan’s entire look!
If you’ve been here on my blog for a while, you might have noticed that I’m not all about the shoes, dress, and other wedding details.
My focus is always on the guest list, the love, the people.
That being said, Megan’s whole vintage wedding look had me swooning. Not only did she ditch the train on her dress, but her skirt had pockets! Her hair, her top, I loved everything about her wedding glam.
Not to be outdone, Matt looked pretty sharp himself… from the gold pocket watch to the fireman’s ax tie clip to the perfect-color-of-green tie…
Intimate Wedding in the Karpeles Manuscript Library
After so many years of documenting all types of weddings, big and small, my very favorite thing is when couples think outside the box with their venues.
Megan and Matt held their Buffalo wedding inside the Karpeles Manuscript Library in downtown Buffalo and it was perfect.
The ceremony was intimate and small, with only very close friends and family invited to attend and it was followed in the same space for a bigger guest list later on.
