Let’s see… this rustic Finger Lakes wedding all began with a wine tasting trip… Could I have a better job? Well, I guess if I didn’t have to to do the business side of things, then maybe. As of now, I am really lucky to work with such awesome people. I know I say that about all of my weddings, but only because it is true! Lana and Mark are my last wedding of the season, and what a way to finish 2008!
Friday, I joined them on the bus for their Wine Tasting Rehearsal and Dinner extravaganza. As you can imagine, it was fun! What a beautiful Fall day to be tooling around Seneca Lake drinking wine. We all met at the new NYS Wine and Culinary Center for the bio-fuel tour bus, got our map of Seneca Lake and were on our way.
By the way, our first laughing fit was caused by opening up the map and seeing a photo of our Groom to be… He was in one of the photos! Ironic!
Attending the rehearsal is always fun because I get to meet everyone ahead of time, but this was special because it was the whole day. Lana and I did a bit of tasting together, and her Mom snuck in a picture of me not working! Yikes! Also, Mark’s brother is a photographer and it was great to get to geek out with him a little and not have to do it on the wedding day.
Anyway, this rustic Finger Lakes wedding was amazing as well! The weather was warm and sunny, with a beautiful view from Bristol Harbour Resort!
Lana and Mark’s families rented condos nearby, and I was able to take all of the formal photographs prior to the ceremony.
The wedding was held outside at Bristol Harbor’s new site (which I like better) at around 5 PM. The officiant is a close friend of theirs, who had a traditional Scottish Kilt made just for their wedding!
Awesome! After the ceremony, Lana and Mark and I walked around for their romantic wedding images and we were treated to a beautiful sunset before we had to head inside for the reception.
This was my first time in the Great Room at Bristol Harbour Resort for a rustic Finger Lakes wedding and boy was it great! A stunning view, plenty of room to move around and a little classier than Bristol’s main room.
The cake was by Premier Pastry and it rocked!
Mark and Lana took dance lessons and wowed everyone with their fancy first dance! What a fun evening and a beautiful couple! Have fun in France and Congrats!!!
