Timberlodge is a gorgeous property out between Rochester and Buffalo and an excellent choice for a wedding venue with rustic charm. This was my first time working there and I loved it. Timberlodge wedding photos are earthy, quaint, modern rustic and classic at the same time.
This rustic Fall wedding was so surreal…. Erin and William hired me a loooooooong time ago and were smart enough to pay me every other month. So, they were always in the fore front of my mind and also their wedding always felt so far away! It is bittersweet that the wedding day is now over and these two are off on their honeymoon to Mexico.
Though the forecast all week was for rain and 54 degrees, we ended up with a stunning 72 degree, sunny day! My ‘sunny day guarantee’ strikes again! Erin and I had been joking all year about the weather because she has the opposite curse…. it always rains when she tries to do something fun. I say that we sort of balanced each other out, since we had some gorgeous clouds too!
I mean, looooook at this amazing Fall lighting:
Once all the ladies were ready, William and Erin did a ‘first look’ so we could take all of the family formal portraits prior to the wedding.
This is my secret recipe for a smooth (and FUN) wedding day….
The ceremony was short, yet sweet, and the little kiddos really stole the show! A-dor-able.
Once these two officially tied the knot, we took the Bridal Party out on the golf course for some group photos. They were all shockingly well behaved and all looked amazing!
William, Erin and I snuck away in golf carts to this wonderful little boardwalk in the woods. With the sun streaming through perfectly behind them, it was a lovely contrast to the rest of the location. We listened to the wind rustling leaves around and watched a squirrel hanging around behind us the entire time. A peaceful break in the action of the day.
The reception itself was full of laughter, visiting and drinking. The dance floor was packed with kids all night, with the ring bearers ‘helping’ the DJ. He was such a sport to let the kids just hang around him all evening and he was smart enough to enlist their help when needed. They were by his side the entire night.
Fun Fact: I swung by Premier Pastry to pick up their wedding cake! You see, I live one mile from there, so it was not that big of a deal. It was just sort of funny. Most of the time, I feel more like a wedding planner than a photographer.
There was a s’mores station, a cigar bar, an outdoor dance floor and a perfect outdoor ceremony on the patio. Erin and William put on quite the party, even taking into consideration late night snacks and extra desserts! With plenty of places to spread out, it was a perfect Fall wedding day for Timberlodge wedding photos.
Fun Fact 2: My assistant, Jodi, and I snuck into the photo booth and we not only got busted by the Bride but she photo-bombed us!! Hilarious!!!
