Maggie is a sister of a Bride (Brittany) that I photographed a few years ago, and I was honored to be hired again! Ironically, Maggie had better weather in March than Brittany had in her September wedding. Ah, Rochester! I love working with families again, and not just for the obvious reason that I know everyone’s names!
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan are some of the nicest parents that I’ve worked with and it was absolutely my pleasure to be there for their second daughter’s wedding.
We had a fun and rainy winter wedding on Saturday. I was really hoping we’d have a lot of snow and go ice skating, but alas… Luckily we did have a rain free morning and plenty of other places to go! Shawn and Maggie are so adorable and easy going that we had a blast anyway! We stopped by Spot Coffee downtown for a few drinks and since it was still rain free, I took Maggie and Shawn down and around the Little Theater for some formal portraits. Just as we were heading back to find the Bridal Party, it started to rain. We planned ahead though and went to the County Office Building for a relaxing hour of Bridal Party portraits and everyone was great to work with!
Speaking of great to work with… I must mention Brittany and Jason’s little boy, Owen! Absolutely the best baby I’ve ever photographed at a wedding. I’m not just saying that because he is a cutie pie… Really, he was so quiet and well behaved all day and when we were doing the Formal Family Portraits in the church, all I had to do was to call his name and he would look right at us and smile. Aside from dismantling the Groomsmen’s flowers, he was the perfect little baby (and even that was just cute!).
Turner Music entertained everyone all night and the dance floor was packed! A special thanks to Rachel Gracie for being my Second Photographerand for Shawn’s Aunt, who kept making sure I had some water and food at the reception (so nice!).
Congratulations to Shawn and Maggie!! The Webster Golf club did a great job with your winter wedding in Rochester!
