Ah, The Moreys. One of my all time favorite families. Oh, so what an honor to be the wedding photographer for more than one. Jerry (Joe’s brother) and I went to RIT together a million years ago and so I’ve gotten to know this family quite well over the years, including photographing Jerry and Mimi’s wedding in 2010. I found out recently that Joe and Kim met about a month before that wedding…. and so here we are!
Joe & Kim have a quiet peace to them that I admire and they look at each other with reverence. They are one truly happy couple and it shows. It is couples like this that make me feel blessed to have this job. Gorgeous, laid back and obviously in love.
Kim and Joe had a beautiful wedding day with just the closest of family and friends. Kim is a teacher and therefore very organized, so this year of planning the wedding with her has been a wonderful experience. She chose all the best Rochester wedding vendors and that made the day run super smoothly for us all. Her family felt just as friendly as the Moreys and everyone was all smiles and laughs and cameras…. all day. It was a great crowd and a great vibe.
After I was off the clock, I joined in the fun… because the ring bearer dragged me out onto the dance floor! That was a first for me! and he’s two. and has great taste in music. What a joyful feeling to not only spend time with one of my oldest college friends, but also his entire family and to get along REALLY well with his child. With all of the twists and turns in life, it always amazes me the impact people have on your life.
Joe and Kim, thank you for having me there and congratulations a million times over! Now, let’s find a date to go biking….
