What in the heck do you do with your engagement photos?
Ok, you’ve got the ring. He proposed and you accepted (phew)! You’ve told your folks. Now it’s time to capture the essence of your relationship and learn how to be in front of the camera…. Why? This sets the stage for your entire event! Below, I give advice on what to do with your engagement photos, like save the dates and other unique wedding gifts.
Engagement photography is an integral part of the wedding planning process. It not only warms you up to your photographer’s way of posing, but it also gives you a chance to really get to know each other before the wedding day. Do you think you have a bad side? Is your hunny self conscious about something? This is the time to work through those issues with your chosen wedding photographer and work through the kinks. It’s also a great time to capture your relationship in everyday clothes.
McKay’s Photography customizes each Engagement Picture Session location to fit each couple and has plenty of unique locations in mind.
Do you like beer? Then let’s go to your favorite bar!
Did you meet at the University of Rochester? Then we can use it as a backdrop before you move on to another city…
Do you have a boat? Then let’s meet up at the Lake for some beach-y sunset-y engagement photos!
I’m full of ideas for what to do with your engagement photos and I rarely repeat a location twice.
Another fun part of wedding planning is in using the images in unique and creative ways:
- Save The Date cards & magnets
- fun signature guestbook
- rehearsal dinner gifts
- stickers for gift bags/water bottles
- custom stamps
- cards for your guests with info on how to find the official wedding photos
- newspaper announcements
