I have returned from the land of sun and sand and my Mexico travel adventure with my family. This vacation came with lots of both! My Aunt Kathleen sponsored a trip for the Aunts/Nieces of the family to visit Mexico, where my Aunt Colleen hosted. It was an amazing gathering of family who has never been terribly close and we certainly have never traveled together before. The week was action packed full of swimming, snorkeling, eating, drinking, chatting, tattoos, dancing, Mayan ruins, Cenote snorkeling, hammocks and even Flamenco Dancers!
It took nearly 48 hours for me to actually get home from my Mexico travel due to snafus with the airlines, which had me simply counting the money I left on the table when I turned down several weddings for both Saturdays of this trip. I will be happy if I am never in another one airport again. Lets just say there was a rental car involved and I left an Aunt in D.C.
This was a great trip and Colleen even broke the news that she will be leaving her jungle house (Esmeralda) to us when the time comes. I am amazed at the generosity of these Aunts, as well as the rest. I’m so happy to be part of the family.
