This lesbian elopement was held in the backyard of a dear friend in the Park Ave Neighborhood and was celebrated with the sharing of a very special bottle of wine.
With such a small affair, it was a treat to photograph the wedding with my medium format film camera. Especially since Lori & Suzanne both love the look and feel of the images they have seen in my albums.
The entire garden was a sanctuary and had a plethora of succulents and unique plants covering every square inch.
This was the wedding gift to the couple:
Michael Avery did both lady’s hair and makeup for the event and was a wonderful presence all day. Such a vibrant energy.
Intimate lesbian elopement for Lori & Suzanne at a home in Rochester NY captured on medium format film
People always ask me if I love my job, and overwhelming the answer is YES! One week, I’m photographing a wedding with 4 people total, and the next, I’m capturing a wedding with 240 people. One thing remains the same: the love. When people are committed to each other, it shows and it is always a delight to be the one to document the event.
Thank you, ladies for having me capture your love (and for all the wine!). Double thanks for allowing me to capture it all on film.
