Vintage Film Portrait Friday: Ah, the Guilfoil family. My favorite family. Maybe because they are just a little wacky…. just – like – me!
We all met up at their home in Victor NY for these film family photos last Fall and had dinner, a little rainy fire pit & a s’mores after party.
Fun fact: Ben just found me a darkroom sink on Craigslist!!! WOOHOO!
Honestly, getting the family together for the big group picture was like herding cats! It was probably because they all know me really well already that they were not well behaved. We did capture everything we needed and were able to miss the rain and sprinkles throughout the evening. Thankfully.
Mama Guilfoil has the most epic and gorgeous garden which made for the perfect backdrop!
The family all received a fine art photo book for Christmas of the session and a custom chosen 8×10 print. Mom and Dad also updated their family portrait and I created a large canvas to hang above the fireplace as well as their holiday cards.
It was wonderful to be able to create these tangible heirlooms in the way of film portraits for this super fun family. Katie and Ben have become good friends since their wedding in 2011 and I’ve even spent Christmas with them. Such great people. You East-siders may know Bob, Wayne and Ben from Penfield Plumbing! A family run business with decades of experience. I highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs.
