It made for a long and busy day, however, it was a perfect day to drive around the Finger Lakes and take in the Fall foliage. Plus, they were all totally worth it.
Fun Fall Family Pictures for the Mathews Family
We started by scoping out the sprawling family property and finding the best locations for the large group photo. After those were taken, I like to break down the group into individual families, which gives everyone a break.
I also focused mostly on candid, action pictures that show how close the cousins are, the beautiful property and all of the family dogs. It was pretty easy to capture their personalities, as they are all full of them 😉
It feels like I’ve known this family forever!
Well, I guess I kinda have known them forever, since I photographed Jenn and Austin’s wedding way back in 2007. So it really felt like coming back together as friends.
The absolute best part of these Fall family photos was when they told the kids that they were expecting a new brother or sister!
OMG, the look on their faces…
Together, we created a book for Keith and Lynne, a large metal print for Jenn and Austin and a large canvas print as a Christmas gift for Lynne and Keith.
Creating timeless family heirlooms is my fave part of the job and it is tons of fun to find the perfect fit for each family.
Having photos on your phone is nice, however creating real wall art and family heirlooms are something else entirely.
I love that Jennifer makes family books (using Apple’s photo books) for her family each year. What a wonderful Christmas gift
