Q: What’s better than a soft winter snowstorm in Boston??
A: Heading out with a Photographer that I’ve mentored to take pretty pictures with my film camera, then getting thrown in FRONT of the camera!! After years of trying, I finally have a professional portrait of me that fits my own style and brand. Yeah! Thanks, Kiera! You ROCK.
Recently, my old pal Kiera Slye and I did a mini workshop to brand hack each others businesses and to generally geek out. We talked shop, brushed up on on and off camera flash techniques, worked on our websites, took professional headshots of each other (and on film!), called each other out on our blind spots and evaluated each others portfolios. All in a powerful two days!
It was great fun and we even made some camera shaped cookies to bring to the Boston area PUG photographers meeting that my pal, Allana Taranto was teaching! What timing! The camera cookies were a big hit. Thanks for those cookie cutters, Mom!
Boston was wonderful and I was also able to visit a favorite past bridesmaid as well as former housemates. I left feeling so loved and rejoicing in how many smart, loving, fun and solid people that are in my life. As well as making a few new colleagues along the way.
Thank you all for housing me, cooking for me, taking me out for drinks and allowing me to spend time in your busy lives!
