Yep! Another absolutely stunning and wonderfully laid back, small wedding at Hurd Orchards.
Carissa and Todd created the most beautiful details to fit the rustic location and Carissa made many things herself. You know, like the night before the wedding where she made the pinwheel boutonnieres and ‘flowers’ for all of the little kids in the wedding. I mean really, who has time before the wedding? Carissa. And they were so elegant and simple yet also fit the theme. Her dress and Todd’s suit are two of my favorites that I’ve seen in years as well.
We began the day over at the White Farm Bed & Breakfast with all of the girls getting ready. When I walked in, I thought I was in the wrong place because it was SO quiet! All of the ladies were getting ready and just relaxing. When I headed to Albion to see the guys getting ready, it was the same story… except they were finished and just hanging around outside. With such a perfect 72 degree day, I couldn’t blame them.
The wedding at Hurd Orchards Fruit Farm went smoothly and beautifully, as usual. Their good friend married them and all of the readings were perfect. The sun was shining and the love was oozing.
The beauty and the service are always top shelf at Hurd and we couldn’t ask for a better wedding location in Upstate NY. Each time I photograph weddings here, I’m still as excited and inspired as the first time.
The location never disappoints and neither does the staff. My favorite part about weddings here are the people. Wonderful clients like Todd & Carissa who are not only a love filled and down to earth couple, but they have very friendly family and friends.
The reception was a small, relaxed and simple affair with plenty of time to walk around (or run, as the kids did). With such perfect weather, pretty much everyone was in and out of the barn regularly. It was such a joy to see these two have fun and enjoy their wedding day.
Carissa & Todd, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be the historian for your celebration. I’m so blessed to be able to create art for you and capture the love you share!
