Cathie’s Aunt and Uncle were kind enough to lend their yard for the festivities on Saturday and what a great day it was! The trees and tent had paper lanterns in them and there was plenty of space for all of the activities, even Kan Jam!
What was really amazing to me was the beautiful bar that Dave made for the wedding. He should really start selling those! The wedding itself was highly entertaining, between all of the flower girls and ring bearers as well as the two dogs that escorted their Mom down the aisle! Cathie and Dave’s vows made EVERYONE cry and the day was absolutely beautiful.
Right after the ceremony we were able to get the 4 families to organize for massive family portraits. The party soon followed and the Bride and Groom kicked it off with a game of Kan Jam with the Bridal Party! The toasts were touching and the first dance ended up becoming a group affair with streamers all over the B&G.
I was stoked to finally get to work with Goodness Cakes, since I’m a big fan of theirs already. Man, that cake was so GOOD! A fitting name!
The evening was really relaxed and organic as people mingled, played games, drank, danced and hung out around the bonfire. The highlight of my night was finding a Shiner Bock at the bar and the bar tender split it with me since it was the last one! You can’t get Shiner up here, but it is huge in Austin and drinking it reminded me of my brother.
Near the end of my night, I did a shot with Cathie and Dave at the bar and in my mind that was a fitting way to say so long to a fun and relaxed wedding on a beautiful September evening!
