Mark and Abbey threw a small, fun, nerdy and offbeat little Artisan Works wedding in the art gallery on Saturday night. Yes, it was indeed April Fool’s Day! That didn’t stop these two love birds from having a really relaxed and fun party with their nearest and dearest friends and family.
They had ear to ear grins and smiles the entire time that their good friend John married them “with the power of the internet”. With a little cocktail hour and all the family formal portraits prior to the ceremony, we really just had to enjoy the remainder of the evening.
The Ceremony and reception was held in the Elizabeth Gallery which offered a nice relaxed atmosphere for everyone, including Mark!
I loved loved loved seeing how sweet these two are together and wish them a lifetime of happiness! The happy couple did throw in a first dance and a few very touching toasts, however the rest of the night was just about mingling, laughing, drinking.
Oh my gosh, I was in LOVE with Rachel’s bridesmaid dress from eshakti. It had POCKETS! She told me that they actually customize the dresses you buy with the type of sleeves you want, the right length, the pattern, etc. I’m smitten.
One of the coolest aspects of this Artisan Works wedding was that the Bride and Groom had Geeks Who Drink do trivia in lieu of a traditional wedding reception! Each table was a team and it made the party really fun. I’m guessing that Mark & Abbey’s team won, but they will have to chime in here and tell me…
Let’s all leave a comment below to wish Abbey and Mark congratulations and best wishes. It was a pleasure to document the party and even bigger pleasure to get to know them. What a wonderful wedding at Artisan Works! There is no April’s fool about it!
