After all of these decades of wedding photography, I still get swept up in all of the happy emotion and love love love love meeting my beautiful and kind couples.
When Adam reached out to me to talk about their wedding plans, I was over-joyed at every single detail he and Alexis had in mind.
Wedding ceremony at her parent’s Keuka lake house, with a COVID19 friendly guest count.
The wedding reception around the corner at Abandon Brewery.
Tons of sunflowers and laughter.
What else do you need? This sounded like the perfect outdoor wedding in the Finger Lakes.
And it was.
Keuka Lake Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was short, sweet, and really touching. Just the closest friends and family attended, and the neighbors were gracious with opening their homes and parking.
Alexis’ brother did all of the landscaping to get the property wedding ready for this lakeside ceremony on Keuka Lake. It was perfect.
Finger Lakes Weddings at Abandon Brewery
The remaining wedding guests met us at the stunning Abandon Brewery, overlooking the North end of Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes, which is the ideal spot for a wedding reception.
With hops and grapes growing all around us and a perfect view, it was an ideal and relaxed setting for Adam and Alexis.
Outdoor Wedding Venue on Keuka Lake
I went to the brewery this past summer to scope it out ahead of time and I was SO impressed with how much thought that the owners put into the layout and design of this brewery and event venue.
The brewery is open until 7 pm on Saturdays, so the big worry is in having normal people crashing the wedding reception, which happens at other venues.
The way this event venue is setup minimizes that issue and I love their permanent pavilion, the event specific bar, and the included lawn games! This is the perfect minimalist event venue for couples wishing to have an outdoor wedding in the Finger Lakes.
The wedding reception was a low-key affair with plenty of time for mingling, laughing, drinking craft beer, and walking the grounds.
Adam and Alexis kept the ‘must do’ traditions to a minimum and taking official wedding photos was the most invasive part of the day.
Saturday gave us perfect weather and the intimacy of all attendees added a backyard wedding vibe to the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day on Keuka Lake for Alexis and Adam.
Congratulations you two and enjoy your honeymoon in Maine!
