Well, that’s how my day started…. with 10 Southern Groomsmen and one Southern Groom (still a bit under the weather from the night before) walking into Custom Brewcrafters on a hot summer afternoon in Honeoye Falls…. and the day got weirder from there…. and better. Can I please have polite, thoughtful men at all the weddings? Pretty please?? I mean, really. Not only did one smart young gentlemen buy me a Cliff bar when we stopped at a gas station, but they also thought to get Ashley a really sweet card.
Ah, Summer. How I love to loathe you. You and your heat and humidity…. but only on Saturdays. You ruin some pretty spectacularly gorgeous weddings and make me smell really rotten by the end of the day. If only I was able to partake in the beer tasting like the Gentlemen did. Luckily, the Bridesmaids kept handing me water. How, did the ladies still look stunning at the end of the day. Hairspray? Genetics??
So, here we are folks. Garon has a new hot wife and Ashley snagged herself one amazingly fun Southern gentleman (with a ginger beard… my FAVORITE!). The wedding was held on Ashley’s parent’s property in Honeoye Falls, NY among close family and friends (and their two pups, who have also now changed their last name).
Hey, here’s a wedding tip. If you are going to have a wedding on a smoking hot, stuffy, humid summer day… please be sure your parents build a house with giant North facing windows so we can do all the formal portraits indoors with natural light. Oh, wait, your parents did do that?? SWEET! Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Morehouse, we had the perfect living room light to keep us all cool before the ceremony. Steve, did you plan the house just for this day??
I’ll honestly spare you the details on the rest of the wedding and just let you look at these silly, fun, whimsical and romantic images that we created together.
There was a limo ride (SUPER thanks to Josh for driving my car to the reception), silliness with socks, most excellent sunglasses, an amazing DJ, tearful toasts and free fireworks at dusk….
